Ciao! Mi chiamo Beatrice e a marzo 2024 ho avuto l’opportunità di facilitare il progetto “Everyone, Everyday, Equal” a Rimini, insieme alle mie fantastiche colleghe Matilde e Chiara. Ecco com’è andata!
L’universo di Youth Exchanges e Training Courses non mi era nuovo, è stato infatti proprio grazie a Romagna+ che ho iniziato, nel 2022, a prendere parte a questi progetti, di tanto in tanto, come partecipante. Volevo però provare qualcosa di nuovo, di più profondo: ecco perché mi sono unita al team di scrittura del progetto, composto da vari membri di Romagna+ con cui ho avuto il piacere di collaborare.

Hi! My name is Beatrice and in March 2024 I had the opportunity to facilitate the project ‘Everyone, Everyday, Equal’ in Rimini, together with my fantastic colleagues Matilde and Chiara. Here’s how it went!
The universe of Youth Exchanges and Training Courses was not new to me; it was in fact thanks to Romagna+ that I started, in 2022, to take part in these projects, from time to time, as a participant. However, I wanted to try something new, something deeper: this is why I joined the project writing team, made up of various members of Romagna+ with whom I had the pleasure of collaborating.

Dopo la gioia e la soddisfazione dell’approvazione del progetto, abbiamo iniziato a concentrarci sulle questioni logistiche, dai contatti con la struttura ospitante a quelli con i partecipanti, creando una prima rete di comunicazione tramite WhatsApp e videochiamate. La data di inizio si avvicinava sempre di più, e con essa l’emozione: per la prima volta non sarei stata una partecipante, bensì una delle organizzatrici, un po’ come un’insegnante che si ritrova per la prima volta dall’altra parte della cattedra.

After the joy and satisfaction of the approval of the project, we began to focus on logistical matters, from contacts with the host structure to those with the participants, creating an initial communication network via WhatsApp and video calls. The start date was getting closer and closer, and with it the excitement: for the first time I would not be a participant, but one of the organisers, same as a teacher finding herself on the other side of the desk for the first time.

Immergersi finalmente nell’esperienza è stato intenso e ricco di emozioni. Dallo straniamento dei primi momenti, in cui mi sono resa conto di essere davvero lì a facilitare un progetto pensato, scritto e organizzato da noi, all’intesa immediata con le altre facilitators, ai momenti di difficoltà ma anche grande soddisfazione nel vedere la gioia, il divertimento o la commozione degli occhi delle e dei partecipanti, così come nel vedere il gruppo diventare sempre più unito e affiatato: si tratta di sensazioni che porterò per sempre dentro di me. Non è stato facile, ovviamente, ma l’esito finale e il modo in cui siamo riuscite a concretizzare una nostra idea, lasciando un segno sui partecipanti, sono soddisfazioni che non potevo nemmeno immaginare durante la prima videochiamata conoscitiva con il team di scrittura, nel lontano 2023.

To finally immerse myself in the experience was intense and full of emotions. From the strangeness of the first moments, when I realised that I was really there to facilitate a project that we had conceived, written and organised, to the immediate understanding with the other facilitators, to the moments of difficulty but also great satisfaction in seeing the joy, amusement or emotion in the eyes of the participants, as well as in seeing the group become more and more united and close-knit: these are sensations that I will carry with me forever. It wasn’t easy, of course, but the final outcome and the way in which we managed to realise our idea, leaving a mark on the participants, are satisfactions I couldn’t even imagine during the first video call with the writing team, back in 2023.

Vorrei ringraziare Romagna+ per avermi inclusa nella squadra; in particolare grazie al team di scrittura, senza il quale non sarebbe stato possibile concepire un progetto di successo come EEE, e grazie al team delle facilitators per il continuo supporto reciproco, dai dubbi dell’inizio fino alla soddisfazione finale.

I would like to thank Romagna+ for including me in the team; in particular thanks to the writing team, without which it would not have been possible to conceive a successful project like EEE, and thanks to the team of facilitators for the continuous mutual support, from the doubts at the beginning to the final satisfaction.
