Marhaba! Mi chiamo Costanza, e dal 12 al 20 gennaio 2024 ho partecipato ad uno scambio di giovani a Larache in Marocco.
I miei compagni di viaggio in questa avventura erano altri 5 ragazzi dall’Italia e poi partecipanti dalla Francia, Spagna, Svezia, e naturalmente dal Marocco.

Il progetto, denominato “Artepreneurship”, è stato uno scambio su arte, cultura e imprenditorialità, tenutosi nel centro culturale di Larache “Foundouk Zeljou”. Durante la settimana, ogni partecipante ha avuto l’opportunità di presentare il proprio progetto artistico al resto del gruppo, che poteva trattare di musica, danza, moda, letteratura o molto altro. 

Attraverso le attività quotidiane e il lavoro di gruppo, siamo stati in grado di sviluppare progetti comuni e abbiamo messo insieme le nostre idee, ispirate anche da incontri diretti con imprenditori e insegnanti locali, grazie alle visite che abbiamo effettuato all’università di Larache e in vari “incubatori”.
Ma oltre alle attività strettamente legate al tema del progetto, abbiamo anche avuto l’opportunità di vivere esperienze uniche legate alla cultura marocchina, come mangiare cibo tipico con le famiglie locali, assistere a un concerto di musica Gnawa, fare un bagno rinfrescante negli hammam, tutte esperienze rese ancora più magiche dai bellissimi colori e profumi della piccola Larache, affacciata sull’Oceano Atlantico.

Ma senza dubbio la cosa più bella di tutte è stato quello di essere in grado di esibirsi nel teatro di Larache, di fronte alle famiglie e ai bambini, portando così la nostra cultura nel paese. La squadra italiana in particolare ha ballato la pizzica, una danza tipica del sud Italia, oltre a portare vari souvenir e cibi che i partecipanti hanno assaggiato ed apprezzato. 

Questa esperienza è stata davvero unica, un mix perfetto di arte, musica, solidarietà e amicizia. Il popolo marocchino ci ha accolto a braccia aperte, e non vedo l’ora di tornare!

Marhaba! My name is Costanza, and from 12 to 20 January 2024 I took part in a Youth Exchange in Larache in Morocco.
My travel companions in this adventure were other 5 guys from Italy and then participants from France, Spain, Sweden, and of course Morocco.

The project, named “Artepreneurship”, was an exchange on art, culture and entrepreneurship, held in the cultural center of Larache “Foundouk Zeljou”. During the week, each participant had the opportunity to present their artistic project to the rest of the group, whether it was music, dance, fashion, literature or much more. 

Through day-to-day activities and group work, we were then able to develop joint projects, and we brought our ideas together, also inspired by direct meetings with local entrepreneurs and teachers, thanks to the visits we made in the university of Larache and in various “incubators”.
But in addition to the activities closely related to the theme of the project, we also had the opportunity to live unique experiences related to Moroccan culture, such as eating typical food with local families, attending a concert of Gnawa music, Take a refreshing bath in the hammams, all experiences made even more magical by the beautiful colors and scents of small Larache, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
But undoubtedly the most beautiful thing of all was to be able to perform in the theater of Larache, in front of families and children, thus bringing our culture in the country. The Italian team in particular danced the pizzica, a typical dance of southern Italy, as well as bringing various souvenirs and foods that participants tasted and appreciated. 

This experience was truly unique, a perfect mix of art, music, solidarity and friendship. The Moroccan people have welcomed us with open arms, and I can’t wait to come back!
